This league is for children aged from nine to twelve years of age. The standard of
competition is very high and it's a credit to our young swimmers that we've won
this league for the past two years !! Can we make it three in a row ?

Ilkeston began their defence of the title with an excellent performance
at the Victoria Park pool. With several key swimmers performing at the
county champs, this first place really does show the strength in depth we
have at the club.
Individual winners were ....... D.Elkington, A.Parker and E.Woodhouse.
The boys and girls 9 year old relay teams won 5 events, the 10 year girls
and the 11 year boys teams won 1 event each and to round off the night
the swimmers also won the cannon relay.

Well Ilkeston came off second best today to our biggest rivals Bramcote,
who we've pipped for the championship for the last 2 years. There were
individual wins for M.Holland, J.Smith, C.Baker and R.Darkins. The
girls 9 years old relay team won both their events, the 9 years old boys
won their freestyle relay as did the !0 years old girls.

Ilkeston were again runners up to Bramcote, this result means
Bramcote win the league overall with Ilkeston in runners up spot.
Well I suppose after being champions for the last two years it
was time we gave another club a chance .......... just kidding .....
